An image from Details magazineAs soon as I came across these images I was immediately drawn to them. They are fashion images but without any models, a rare occurrence within the fashion industry. They are real and glamorous and allow the viewer to envision or create their own story as to how these objects came to be where they are and who is the person that owns or was interacting with these things. There are so many subtle details that give information that one really has to pay attention to glean all that they can from the images. I have been inspired to work in a similar manor with objects that can be metaphors for a repression of emotions, a mask; and a flawed human being, broken glass. I am currently working with ideas of how to use these objects in a way that seems as real and unpropped as Shore's images.
